Constructing a first-class hospital for Jersey

ROKFCC JV (a joint venture between ROK Limited and FCC Construction S.A.) have been appointed as the Design and Delivery Partner (DDP) for the Our Hospital Project (OHP) — a once in a lifetime opportunity for the citizens of Jersey to benefit from a world class, fully integrated, 21st century hospital for generations to come.

Project Information

The OHP includes the construction of five main buildings: the Main Hospital Building, Mental Health Building, Knowledge Centre, Multi-Deck Carpark and Energy Centre; and all the extensive external works and access roads.

The contract type for the OHP is NEC3. The cost of designing and constructing the project is approximately £550 million. Construction is anticipated to commence in summer 2022, with the new Hospital open and receiving patients by the end 2026.

ROKFCC JV, the Government of Jersey and the project team are committed to assisting those overseas sub-contractors and suppliers whom we will need to help us deliver the project. Therefore, we are currently working on several key enablers:

  • Linking with the on-island supply chain
  • Assistance with understanding routes and rules for delivery of goods to Jersey
  • Assistance with obtaining permits and on-island accommodation for the workforce
  • Use of Modern Methods of Construction and off-site manufacture
  • Identification of locations for possible on-island manufacturing/ fabrication facilities
